This year, Desert Heritage Real Estate launched a unique business association with several industry leaders with its Affiliate Partner Program (APP). This program was designed to bring together our agents with people who are closely related to real estate, and that are knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. Each month, we are going to put one of our APPs in the “spotlight,” to give an idea of what sets them apart from their competitors, as well as give a little insight into their individual personalities.


In the Spotlight: Tom Frizzell, Castle & Cooke Mortgage

1. How did you get started in your industry?

I purposely started out as a child and grew from there to Real Estate Broker, FHA worker and finally to originating loans.

2. In terms of your business, how do you define success?

Success is when you have worked with a borrower and they are comfortable with their new loan knowing and feeling that they have received the best terms available.

3. What sets you & your company apart from your competitors?

I am fortunate to work with a group of true pros, and unlike in some offices here everyone helps everyone else. It is a feeling of family and that is from the top down.

4. If you were a Star Wars character, which one would you be and why?

I would surely be marked as R2D2, even though I resemble Yoda. I’m always there to help.

5. What is one thing that you wish more people knew about you, but remains pretty much a secret?

That if a problem occurs with a client I will work all night and day to correct the issue and make sure everyone is aware of what is going on.

6. What is the wackiest request that you have had from a real estate agent?

There is not enough room to put all the wacky requests we get from time to time, but the strangest was from an agent who actually thought I would take a loan from a guy who operating as a straw buyer for an out of state investor and tried to change some the documents (I caught it right away and notified his world).

7. List 5 of the most important products that your company offers.

Speed, All the standard loan products, plus HomePath + Renovation, GNMA down to 580 FICO. Plus I am harmless.

8. It’s the end of the world, and you can choose five people to board your getaway spaceship to a new planet. Who would you choose?

That is tough when you have 3 daughters and 6 grandsons. I would stay and somehow pack all of them on board.

9. In 10 words or less, tell us why agents and clients should choose your company above all others.

Our motto: “We know a quicker way home”.

10. Finish this sentence: If I had a hammer, I would… smash the economic malaise that is gripping our great country and restore its greatness.
