When most people are off the clock, the last thing they want to do is the same thing they do from 9-5 (or their work hours) at their job.
However, I LOVE looking at properties!! So, on my off time I load my family up in the car and we look at different neighborhoods both resale and new build homes.
This past weekend, we saw “a new flag” in the neighborhood of 67th Ave and Happy Valley. When we pulled up to this model home we noticed all the traffic around. This was the busiest model home I had ever seen.
As we entered the model, we quickly saw what all the excitement was about. This home is beautifully decorated and sits on a premium lot. The model we looked at was 3862sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, den and a detached casita that the builder had staged as a pool house. The home had a 4 car garage, a RV garage and a beautifully landscaped backyard with a pool.
As I watched all the families walk around, I noticed one family in particular. They were “playing house” as if it was their home. It was great watching the children pretend and use their active imaginations. Mom and Dad even got in on the pretend play asking the kids what they wanted for dinner as they stood in the large kitchen area.
Looking at homes reminds me of what a great career I have! We as Realtors® and Brokers get the opportunity to help peoples turn their dreams into realities.
