Desert Heritage: How did you get started in your industry?
Jonathan: After separating active duty with the US Air Force in 2004, I was attending school full time while delivering pizza full time for Pizza Hut in Austin, TX. I came across a job posting that stated “NEW HOME SALES. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.” I responded to the posting and began working for a national home builder. I’ve been involved within the housing industry ever since!
Desert Heritage: In terms of your business, how do you define success?
Jonathan: To me, success is simply a byproduct of doing the right things. Truly successful businesses and people have many things in common- they’re honest…they put people before profit…they embrace failure as a tool for growth…they give more than they take…they do what they say they’re going to do…they love what they do. Integrity is paramount, period. These are just a few examples of the ‘right things’ which create success.
Desert Heritage: What sets you & your company apart from your competitors?

Desert Heritage: If you were a Star Wars character, which one would you be and why?
Jonathan: I think I’d be C-3PO…logical and calculating, facts and figures are my security blanket. I’ve never met a subject I haven’t had a well-reasoned opinion (according to me) on or situation I couldn’t try to talk through. Fighting? Forget it! I’ll make myself useful some other way and keep close to my less anxious best friend!
Desert Heritage: What is one thing that you wish more people knew about you, but remains pretty much a secret?
Jonathan: I’m not sure that I wish people knew this about me or not…however, I have a peculiar and irrational fetish for wrist watches. I have a collection of over one hundred watches organized in cases by band material, color, and movement type. Many of them have not been worn, ever!
Desert Heritage: What is the wackiest request that you have had from a real estate agent?
Jonathan: Don’t get me started on wacky real estate agents…oh, I meant to say wacky requests. J
